Bega Valley Innovation Hub creates economy of the future

We are very proud of our second cohort who participated in the Pitch Final last week!

The Pitch Final was the culmination of our 12 week business accelerator program which is run through the University of Wollongong’s (UoW) iAccelerate Innovation Network.

From it’s base in North Wollongong, iAccelerate has created over 500 jobs and 60 companies, with UOW sharing similar goals for regional areas like Bega Valley as their network widens.

Approximately 100 people gathered to hear what innovative ideas emerged from the second cohort. Our entrepreneurs didn’t disappoint, boasting job potential in health, education, manufacturing, construction, and aquaculture.

While their ideas where all unique there was a common goal that bound our entrepreneurs together: The drive to grow the region’s economy and employment opportunities.
